The Hornets rookie looked... sharp, in a questionable U.S olympian outfit prepared by Ralph Lauren for the opening ceremony of the London olympics, Austin Rivers has surgery, Hornets acquire Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick from Phoenix, full season schedule released, Hornets have 7 nationally broadcasted games.

Team USA will begin their olympic campaign against France on Sunday.

In other news, the Hornets officially completed a three-team trade with the Suns and Timberwolves. The deal will send Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick to New Orleans, Brad Miller and Jerome Dyson to Phoenix and Minnesota will receive two second round draft picks.

Hornets second draft choice, Austin Rivers, underwent surgery to remove bone spurs from his right ankle, he's expected to make a full recovery before the start of training camp. It was reported that Rivers aggravated a pre-existing injury during summer league play.

The new era of Hornets basketball will begin at home against the Spurs on October 31st. This season the Hornets will be featured seven times on national television - five times on NBA TV, twice on ESPN. Here is the full schedule.
